John McGlynn leaves Livingston

Livingston Football Club today announced that they had parted company with their Manager John McGlynn by mutual consent.

The club wish to go on record in stating their appreciation for the work John has carried out under extremely difficult circumstances this season, ultimately though, football is a results based business.

John made the following statement before he departed:

"I would like to thank all the players, back room staff, administration staff, directors, chairman and fans, for their support, hard work, dedication, and professionalism during my time at the club.

"I was very grateful to get the job back in Sept 2013 and have done everything in my power to do the best job I possibly could. It is with great regret that we have agreed mutually, to part company but I acknowledge that it is a results business and unfortunately no matter how hard I worked, we could not get the results we all desired.

"I feel it is now time to let someone else come in with plenty of games remaining in the season to turn the clubs fortunes around.

"I would like to wish the club every success in the future, I believe they will stay in the league and have a great chance of lifting the Petrofac Cup."

The Directors and myself as Chairman  wish John every success in his future career.
