Midfield Maestro Stefan Scougall completed his much anticipated move to English League One side Sheffield United this morning.
Scougs and his father met with the Chairman and committee on Tuesday afternoon to discuss Nigel Clough’s continuing interest. A final decision was left with Stefan himself and this morning he opted to make the switch to Bramall Lane.
Manager John McGlynn spoke of his disappointment at losing such a valuable player.
“We wish he could have stayed longer, and myself and the other players feel the same. We’re also fully aware of how highly regarded Scougs is by the Livi fans.
“But this club prides itself on helping develop young players, and we will not stand in his way as he progresses his career in the game.
“I’m already pursuing new signings and am hopeful of adding new faces to the squad before the transfer window shuts.”
Stefan leaves Livingston FC with our very best wishes for what is sure to be a bright future.
