The pitch at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium is already starting to look more recognisable following the renewal work that began on May 28.

Following our last update the covers were removed on Thursday to reveal some early signs of new grass growth - remarkably just eight days after the pitch was seeded.

There's quite a bit of growing still required but a programme of regular feeding and cutting should thicken up the grass in plenty of time for the new season action to get underway.

A combination of rain and sunshine will help the growing process along - there seems little chance of a shortage of the former going by this weekend's dull and driech conditions!
