Cammy MacDonald moves on

Livingston FC has this afternoon reluctantly allowed defender Cammy MacDonald to leave the club with immediate effect.

Cammy has not figured in manager Gary Bollan's plans for several months now, though he was on the bench against Ayr United on Saturday. He made the decision to seek pastures new and requested a move away from the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium, and after lengthy discussion this was agreed to.

A stalwart of the club ever since singning as a youth in 2006 from his native Argyll, Cammy worked his way through the ranks to become a first team regular. Chief Executive Ged Nixon, whilst understanding the player's position, was still sorry to see him go.

"Cammy leaves the club with our sincere best wishes in furthering his career, and with enormous thanks from all at Livingston FC.

"It would be appropriate to say that these decisions are always harder when it is 'one of your own' moving on."
