Our Under 19 side have been pitted against their counterparts from Peterhead in the SFA Youth Cup after the third round draw was made yesterday.
Brian Welsh's side enter the national competition at the third round by virtue of their excellent recent record, which has seen them reach the semi finals in each of the last two seasons.
Peterhead have already been in action, defeating Buchan rivals Fraserburgh in the second round earlier this month.
The match will be the second meeting of the clubs in the SFA Youth Cup; back in November 2002, a Lions side featuring the likes of Allan Walker and James McPake secured a 2-0 win at a wet and windy Balmoor Stadium, also at the third round stage.
Ironically, the sides will have an opportunity to size one another up before the cup tie comes round on Sunday, November 13 when they meet in SFL Youth Division action at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium Fieldturf this Sunday (kick off 3:15pm).
The young Lions will be defending their unbeaten start to the season against the 'Blue Toon' having survived a tough assignment away to Morton on Sunday. Goals from David Aitken, Jack Beaumont and Michael Travis earned a 3-3 draw at Battery Park.
