Livingston Football Club has received a timely boost after its main sponsor, Fasteq Ltd, agreed to extend their backing of the club for a further two seasons.
The new deal, which will run until the end of the 2012-13 football season, represents a significant investment in the club by one of its key partners.
An expanding West Lothian business, Fasteq manage the supply of fasteners and components to the engineering, automotive, aerospace and defence industries from their base in Linlithgow.
Long standing commercial supporters, they became main sponsors at the start of the 2009-10 season and have played an integral part in the back to back championship wins achieved by the club over the last two years.
“We've enjoyed seeing Livingston go from strength to strength on the field over the last two years,” said Rona Haig, Fasteq's Operations Director.
“We've been proud to be the club's main sponsor during such an exciting period, and stepping up our backing has been a great decision for us, with our customers and staff gaining great satisfaction from watching Livingston excel.
“All the good publicity Livingston have generated has been an added bonus for us - to win two championships in two years is a fantastic achievement and it's testimony to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved with the club.
“They deserve their success and the team at Fasteq are delighted to have the opportunity to continue our association with the club when it competes in next year's First Division, and for a long time to come after that.”
Fasteq's decision to renew their sponsorship of Livingston FC represents a huge vote of confidence in the work ongoing to rebuild the club within the West Lothian community.
Ged Nixon, Chief Executive of Livingston FC added: “Fasteq had faith in the club when they came on board as main sponsors two years ago and it's worked out well for both parties.
“We're delighted that they have chosen to further strengthen that relationship going forward over the next two years.”
