New deals for midfield duo

Two of Livingston's most promising up and coming young players have been signed up on new extended contracts.

Dean Cummings and Stefan Scougall have both put pen to paper on fresh two-year deals which will see them continue their development at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium.

The duo have been key players in Brian Welsh's championship chasing Under 19 side this season.

A dynamic goalscoring midfielder, Cummings has yet to make his first team debut, but has been a part of the travelling party on several occasions this season.

Scougall, a two-footed playmaker, already has two substitute appearances under his belt.

"Both lads have bags of potential so we're delighted to get them on new contracts," confirmed manager Gary Bollan.

"They are talented lads who have impressed in under 19 matches - the challenge for them is to continue that progress and push for a place in the first team.

"Stefan has had a couple of run outs this season and has done well; had it not been for some bad luck with injuries he might have made more of an impact already."

Both players are now contracted by Livingston until May 2013.
