David Sinclair extends stay

Livingston have received a boost with the news that midfield starlet David Sinclair has agreed a new contract.

Sinclair (19) has forced his way into Gary Bollan's first team reckoning over the last few months, producing a string of determined and influential performances in central midfield.

With the Glasgow based youngster earning rave reviews, the club has moved quickly to offer him an extended deal, which will keep him at Almondvale until the summer of 2012.

Livingston's chief executive, Ged Nixon, said: "We're absolutely delighted that David has agreed to stay with the club over the next two and a half years.

"David has forced his way into the first team this season and done superbly well.

"As a club we want to create stability and build for the future by developing our own young talent and giving it a chance to play league football.

"Keeping the likes of David is central to what we are trying to do, and we are all looking forward to seeing him feature in the team over the months and years to come."

David follows in the footsteps of central defender Cammy MacDonald who agreed a new contract last month.
