Queen's Park 1 - 3 Livingston
Commanding display sees Livi through

A double from Rafa De Vita and a Liam Fox penalty saw Livingston safely through to the third round of the Active Nation Scottish Cup at Hampden.

The Lions turned in a commanding display to sweep aside a disappointing Queen's Park side and on balance of play could have won by a greater margin.

They could easily have been a couple of goals up before De Vita scored the game's opening goal with a sublime 32nd minute volley.

Robbie Winters blasted the ball over in 12 minutes after a fine pass from Keaghan Jacobs engineered him space in the Queen's penalty area.  The veteran striker also went close with an acrobatic overhead effort.

Shortly after the goal, David Winters could have added a Livi second but Scott Black came out victorious in a one-on-one duel, stopping Winters' low shot with his legs.

After the break Livi continued to dominate, although the second goal proved elusive until the 62nd minute when ref Steven McLean penalised Queen's defender Tony Dunlop for handball.

On first glance it looked a harsh decision but sympathy was in short supply as Fox sent Black the wrong way with a well taken spot kick.

Queen's enjoyed their best spell shortly after the second goal and they threatened to make the final few minutes nervous ones by pulling a goal back.  Largely untroubled all afternoon, the Livi defence was all at sea as Quinn headed home a Hamilton cross at the back post.

Having dominated throughout, Livi looked like they might need to hang on for victory but any nerves were dispelled by a first-class third goal seven minutes from time.

Roddy McKenzie's long kick out was kept in play by Keaghan Jacobs in the corner and the youngster fired in a low cross which was dummied beautifully by Robbie Winters, leaving De Vita a simple tap in for his fifth goal of the season.
