Real football for 5 - in its traditional slot

Fans across West Lothian and beyond can see real, live Scottish football for 5 in its traditional Saturday afternoon slot later this month, Livingston FC confirmed today.

Livingston have decided to bring forward a 5 admission offer to their home game against Hamilton Accies on Saturday, April 13, rather than the three-times postponed Tuesday night match against the same opposition three days later.

The Irn Bru First Division match is scheduled to kick off at Scottish football's traditional 3pm slot, and with a huge saving on standard pricing1, Livingston hope to attract a larger than normal attendance.

We've had a really positive reaction to our 5 offer, but we've had some terrible luck with the weather when we've planned to run it on three previous occasions, said Livingston director, David Stoker.

We want to give as many people as possible an opportunity to sample live football, and by switching our offer to a Saturday afternoon at 3pm, we aim to make it more accessible to supporters of all ages.

There are no SPL games on that afternoon, so we're hoping to attract a good number of neutrals along to our stadium, as well as a large contingent of own supporters and those of our opponents, Hamilton.

Scottish football is getting a bad press at the moment, but both sides play attractive football so we should be in for a good advert for our League at an excellent price.

Admission to the match will be just 5 for all supporters, regardless of age, with no advance ticket purchase necessary.

All supporters can take advantage of convenient, pay-at-the-gate facilities at the turnstiles on the day. Supporters bars at the Stadium will be open from 12.30pm, with gates open at 2pm.

Livingston have also announced that its adult season ticket holders will have an opportunity to bring along a friend free of charge to the Tuesday night match against Hamilton on April 16.
