A commanding performance from our reserve side saw them beat Partick Thistle by a comfortable 5-1 scoreline this afternoon.
Despite the blustery conditions, our young players played some excellent football, keeping possession for long spells against an energetic Thistle side.
Jordan Morton got the goal rush underway in the 20th minute, showing persistence to work his way through the Thistle defence for a tap in.
The second goal arrived shortly afterwards, a long succession of passes being rounded off with a clinical Jack Downie finish.
Andy Russell made it three seven mintues after half time drilling the ball low into the net from a tight angle.
Russell turned provider with a defence splitting pass for the fourth, Liam Gray timing his run to perfection before rounding the keeper and scoring from six yards.
Jack Downie added our fifth and final goal nine minutes from time, Gray supplying the final pass.
Thistle were rarely seen as an attacking force as we enjoyed the vast majority of possession, but they produced a well worked consolation goal with five minutes left.
Livingston: Jamieson, Tufail, McDonald, Donaldson, Fordyce, Downie, Wilson (Murphy 70), Beaumont, A Russell, Cummings (L Gray HT), Morton (Lander 60). Subs not used: Fairman, Hurst.
