Our reserve side lost out 2-1 to Morton yesterday afternoon, but the match saw club captain Liam Fox, midfielder Kyle Jacobs and French striker David Luongo take another step towards a full return to action.

All three were in the starting eleven at Cappielow, the first action for Fox and Jacobs all season, while Luongo added to his sub appearance for the reserves last week.

Unfortunately, their presence wasn't enough to spur our second string to a result against an strong 'Ton side.

The Greenock side led 1-0 at half time through Lewis Hawke, a trialist doubling their lead after the break.  Jack Beaumont grabbed our goal before the end.

The reserves play again on Thursday evening when they meet Border Amateur side Gala Rovers at Netherdale.
