Our reserves continued their build up to the new season with a creditable draw against top junior side Linlithgow Rose at Prestonfield last night.

The result was a significant improvement on a 6-0 defeat suffered against the Rose towards the end of last season.

Rose led at the break after Calum Smith's goal at the thirty minute mark, but Andy Russell took full advantage of some good work by sub Danny Mullen to equalise.

The home side struck the woodwork on three occasions, including twice from free-kicks, but were pinned back for long spells as our youthful side stroked the ball around well on the excellent Prestonfield surface.

Our next friendly is next Tuesday, when we travel to the Borders to face East of Scotland League side Duns.
