Our Under 17 side will face Ayr United in the final of this season's SFL Youth League Cup after overcoming Queen's Park on penalties on Sunday afternoon.

Gordon McLeod's side were set to beat the Spiders inside ninety minutes when they entered the dying moments with a 2-1 lead but the Glasgow side scored with virtually the last kick of the ball to force extra time.

Both sides netted again in extra time but with the scoreline at 3-3 after two hours, a shoot-out was needed to separate the sides.

Goalkeeper Mark Hurst was our hero, making two tremendous saves to keep our hopes of retaining the Cup we won for the first time last season.

As yet, no set date or venue has been arranged for the final.
