Our in-form Under 19 side face the toughest test of their season so far when they face Dundee United in the quarter final of the SFA Youth Cup next Wednesday evening (February 8) at the Braidwood Motor Company Stadium.
The young Lions have posted two successive league wins since returning from their winter training trip to Portugal last month, keeping themselves in contention for a fifth SFL Youth Division championship in a row.
However, their attention turns to the national cup competition when they face a Dundee United side which has already knocked out Edinburgh City, Rangers and Falkirk in their run to the last eight.
Coach Brian Welsh is under no illusions about the task his side faces, but believes a third successive semi final appearance is achievable.
"Dundee United are a right good side and they'll be favourites to beat us, but we've shown over the last couple of seasons that we can test anyone in Scotland at our level," said Brian. "It's a one off cup tie and if we play like I know we can then we've got a chance of progressing."
Admission prices for the tie - which is taking place on the main stadium pitch - are just £3 for adults and £1 for concessions (under 16 and over 65)
Kick off is at 7.30pm and everyone associated with the Under 19 team would appreciate a large turn out of Livingston supporters for what is a massive match.
