Under 19s hit Elgin for six

Livingston's all conquering Under 19 side chalked up another emphatic victory yesterday, defeating Elgin City 6-0.

Conditions were far from ideal at Pinefields, but Neil Hastings got the afternoon off to the perfect start with a goal within two minutes.

The blustery wind and bumpy pitch made it difficult for the young Lions to play their usual passing game, but they forged further ahead when Marc McNulty added a 26th minute second goal.

Immediately after half time a curling Sheldon Jacobs free kick ran right through into the net for the third, before sub James Cameron scored a stunning fourth with seventeen minutes left.

The ever dangerous Marc McNulty added two late goals to complete a personal hat-trick and round off the scoring.

The win leaves Livi in a virtually unassailable position at the top of the league.  To be denied they would need to lose their last two games while Dunfermline win the six they have left, making up a deficit of 54 goals at the same time.
