Dear supporter,

As another long football season comes to an end, we will reflect on another campaign of relative success for Livingston FC.

2012-13 will be remembered as a season of ups and downs for us - on and off the field - but with a top half finish secured again, we can all be proud that our club has punched above its weight in the Irn Bru First Division. We can also take great satisfaction from more of our own young players making the breakthrough into our first team, and in the case of Stefan Scougall, at international level with Scotland Under 21s too!

Your support throughout the season has been very much appreciated by us all at the club and we hope that you enjoy the summer break while we continue our preparations for the new season, which are already at an advanced stage.

Our new management team of Richie Burke and Mark Burchill are already building their squad for the challenges which lie ahead in 2013-14 – negotiating contracts with existing players, identifying the most capable young players from our youth teams and scouting potential signings from elsewhere.

Behind the scenes, a priority for us is to secure new shirt and stadium sponsors to replace Fasteq and the Braidwood Motor Company, both of whom have been tremendously supportive over the last few years, and remain so going forward.

Our preparations are being made in a very tough economic environment for all businesses, but particularly football clubs at our level.

The financial challenges in the second tier of Scottish football are well documented and make our job of retaining full time professional football in West Lothian difficult. Nevertheless we remain totally committed to competing on this basis, at the highest level we can, and providing a career path for talented young players.

On the subject of finances, as a club we have a range of income streams, but gate receipts remain our largest single source of revenue. From that perspective, your support is absolutely critical; without it there would be no Livingston Football Club.

Setting our gate prices and season ticket rates is another of our important tasks at this time of year, and it can be a difficult balancing act. We want to be fair to all supporters, whether they are full paying adults, families or concession groups. In general terms, we want to keep prices as competitive as we can, but must make sure we have enough resources to pay our way.

For the coming season, we are revising our pricing in all areas to achieve the right balance. We’ve increased some prices and reduced others whilst adding value to our season ticket packages with extra matches, exclusive season ticket holder events and six months free entry into our club lottery, the Lothian Lotto.

As before, we are running an instalment plan for all season ticket purchases at no extra cost, to help you spread the cost throughout the summer if you need to.

And we’ve also taken your feedback on board and introduced a pay-at-the-gate concession discount for students, to complement our popular student season ticket.

We realise that these are difficult times but we hope that you’ll take pride in what we’ve achieved together as a club over the last few years and continue to give us your backing, by investing in a season ticket and joining us back at Almondvale when the action gets underway again in July.
